This Refund Policy explains how refunds, credit adjustments, failed generations, credit packs, and subscriptions work for [Website Domain] and the Seed Audio 1.0 voice generation service.

1. Overview

We offer a simple credit-based model:

  • 1 credit = 1 second of generated audio
  • Paid credit packs never expire
  • Free trial credits are issued once per account
  • Subscription credits refresh monthly
  • Failed generations are refunded in credits or not charged

Because credits can be used at any time and paid credits do not expire, most credit purchases are final once used.

2. Free trial credits

Free trial credits are provided for evaluation only.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • New accounts receive 30 free trial credits
  • Free trial credits are issued once per account
  • Free trial credits have no cash value
  • Free trial credits are not refundable
  • Free trial credits cannot be exchanged for paid credits or cash
  • We may revoke free trial credits if we detect abuse, duplicate accounts, fraud, or misuse

3. Paid credit packs

Paid credit packs are one-time purchases.

Paid credits never expire, but credit pack purchases are generally non-refundable after purchase, except as required by law or as described below.

We may consider a refund request for a paid credit pack if:

  • The request is made within 7 days of purchase
  • The account has used less than 10% of the purchased credits
  • The purchase was not part of fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, or policy violation
  • The request is not a repeated refund request
  • The credits have not been transferred, resold, or used through suspicious activity

If a refund is approved, we may remove the remaining credits from your account.

Used credits are not refundable, except where required by law or where a technical failure caused credits to be incorrectly deducted.

4. Custom credit purchases

Custom credit purchases follow the same refund rules as paid credit packs.

Large custom purchases may require manual review. We may decline refunds for custom purchases if credits have been used, if the purchase was made for a completed project, or if we detect abuse.

5. Subscription plans

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Subscription credits refresh each billing cycle
  • Subscription credits are intended for use during the active billing period
  • Subscription charges are generally non-refundable after billing
  • Cancelling a subscription stops future renewal charges
  • Cancelling does not automatically refund the current billing period

We may consider a refund for a first-time subscription charge if:

  • The request is made within 7 days of the first subscription purchase
  • The account has used less than 5% of the monthly subscription credits
  • No material subscription benefit has been used in a way that cannot be reversed
  • The request is not associated with abuse, fraud, or policy violation

Renewal charges are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

6. Failed generations

If a generation fails due to a technical issue and no usable output is produced, we will either:

  • Not charge credits, or
  • Automatically refund the deducted credits, or
  • Manually restore credits after support review

Credits are not refunded simply because you dislike a successful output, unless the output failed due to a verified technical error.

AI-generated audio may vary in quality, style, timing, accent, pronunciation, or creative interpretation. Variability in output is part of the nature of AI generation and does not automatically qualify for a refund.

7. Duplicate charges and billing errors

If you believe you were charged more than once or charged incorrectly, contact us at [Support Email].

Please include:

  • Account email
  • Payment receipt or invoice ID
  • Date of charge
  • Amount charged
  • Description of the issue

If we confirm a duplicate charge or billing error, we will correct it by refunding the duplicate charge or applying an account credit.

8. Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend your account while the dispute is reviewed.

If the chargeback is found to be fraudulent or inconsistent with your usage, we may terminate your account and revoke unused credits, subject to applicable law.

9. Taxes and payment processor fees

Taxes, foreign exchange fees, bank fees, card fees, and payment processor fees may not be refundable unless required by law or refunded by the relevant provider.

10. Policy violations

We do not provide refunds if your account is suspended or terminated for violating our Terms of Service, Content & Voice Use Policy, payment rules, anti-abuse rules, or applicable law, except where required by law.
